LODGING OPTIONS

We are committed to making your attendance as affordable as possible. To that end, we have arranged for a variety of lodging options, including rooms at federal per diem at several hotels, rooms at less than federal per diem at one hotel, and rooms (including private rooms) at very attractive rates at the highly-rated Hosteling International Fisherman's Wharf Youth Hostel at Fort Mason—just steps away from the General's Residence training venue.

Hosteling International's Fisherman's Wharf Youth Hostel, Building 240, Fort Mason (0.1 miles from General's Residence)

This is the most economical option. We have arranged for a block of rooms exclusively for workshop attendees—no sharing your sleeping room with people who aren't attending! Remaining room options are Shared Bunkrooms for 4 or 5 people each, sharing bathrooms/showers with other Hostel guests. The rate is $200/night for a 4-person bunkroom ($250/night for a 5-person bunkroom) divided by the number of people occupying the room, so your cost could be as low as $50/night! Team up with friends and share a room (for example, if you and friend reserved a 4-person dorm room, your cost would be $100/night each), or the Organizers can work with you to assign you a room and try to get the lowest possible cost for you. Rooms are being held until March 8 or until the room block is full, whichever comes first.

If you'd like to stay at the Hostel, please indicate your willingness on the form below and the workshop organizers will contact you to confirm rooming arrangements and costs, and to arrange payment. All Hostel rooms will be assigned by the organizers — do not contact the Hostel directly.

Cavallo Point Lodge, 601 Murray Circle, Sausalito (6.6 miles from General's Residence)

Cavallo Point Lodge is located on the grounds of Fort Baker in Golden Gate National Recreation Area just over the Golden Gate Bridge in Marin County. We have reserved a small number of rooms at the FY23 federal per diem rate for Marin County, $189 ($239 double occupancy).  Federal employees traveling on official business will be able to exempt themselves from room tax. Please note: attendees will be responsible for organizing their own transportation from Cavallo Point to the General's Residence (you may wish to refer to the Parking info below, and don't forget that there is an inbound toll on the Golden Gate Bridge of $9; no toll to return to Marin County.) ). Rooms are being held until March 18 or until the room block is full, whichever comes first.
