Who we are

George Wright Society members join together in a like-minded community of professionals who care passionately about the scientific and heritage values of parks, protected areas, and cultural sites.

With hundreds of GWS members around the world, our society represents nearly all 50 states in the U.S. and numerous countries. The society's membership features numerous national and international leaders in natural and cultural resource management including park staff, retired professionals, Indigenous peoples, researchers, students and professors, educators, government agencies, nonprofits and outdoor enthusiasts. Join today to be the first to find out about our events and trainings, publications, communication platforms and student summits.
