The President James K. Polk Home and Museum, the only remaining private residence of the 11th chief executive of the United States, could potentially be absorbed by the National Park Service, and members of the community are being asked to weigh in on the matter.
NPS is in the processes of carrying out a special resource study of the historic property located along West 7th Street in Columbia, to evaluate its potential for inclusion within the park system.
