Over 200 endangered leopard frogs have been released at Columbia NWR

MOSES LAKE - Hundreds of northern leopard frogs, listed as endangered for two decades, were released in the Columbia National Wildlife Refuge in Grant County as part of a pilot program to help the species recover

.

The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife teamed up with the Oregon Zoo to launch the recovery program in April. Eggs were collected in the spring and taken to the Oregon Zoo.
