Ohio state historical society seeks to regain lease on golf course to preserve ancient earthworks

NEWARK – Ohio's statewide history organization has filed eminent domain action to acquire the Moundbuilders Country Club.

The action would allow the Ohio History Connection to convert the property to a park for the Octagon Earthworks, allowing it to be nominated for the World Heritage list.
