A grant of nearly $13.5 million from the Mellon Foundation will support 30 postdoctoral fellowships across the National Park System for studies into the complex histories of the sites with which the fellows are affiliated.
The $13.4 million grant announced Wednesday by the foundation and the National Park Foundation will help expand the National Park Service Mellon Humanities Fellowship—an initiative aimed at supporting humanists and their exploration of the national parks’ untold stories.
