A bill that would commission a study to determine whether Fort Ontario in Oswego should be designated as a national park received final congressional approval Tuesday.
The U.S. Senate passed the Fort Ontario Study Act by unanimous consent. The action came more than a year after the House of Representatives advanced the bill by voice vote.
