Bill to change Acadia NP’s boundaries, allow harvest in intertidal zone dies with old Congress

WASHINGTON, D.C. — What had seemed like a slam dunk didn’t quite make it over the rim – to use a basketball analogy – as Congress failed to pass the Acadia National Park Boundary Clarification Act during the session that is just wrapping up.

That means the bill will have to be re-introduced in both the House and Senate after the new Congress convenes Jan. 3, and it will have to go through the entire committee review process all over again.
