Bangladesh | Community conservation teams form to protect endangered dolphins in WH-listed mangroves

The Forest Department had started forming dolphin conservation teams involving community people to protect the endangered aquatic species in the rivers of the Sunderbans, the world’s largest mangrove forest.

‘We’ve already formed three dolphin conservation teams in the Sunderbans and will form more such groups to protect the dolphins,’ said divisional forest officer and national project director Md Modinul Ahsan.
