People looking for a respite from stay-at-home orders are heading outdoors, sometimes disregarding social distancing guidelines meant to limit the spread of COVID-19.
Health officials announced on Monday five confirmed cases in the southwest corner of Utah, where one of the state’s busiest tourist attractions is still open to the public. Despite calls for social distancing from top state leaders, almost daily, Zion National Park closes the road through the main canyon to visitors because of full parking lots at popular trailheads.
