It’s official. It’s now the Tule Lake National Monument.
President Donald Trump earlier this month signed the John D. Dingell, Jr. Conservation, Management and Recreation Act,, a 260-page bill that covers a wide range of national natural resource issues, from adding wilderness areas and wild and scenic rivers to creating new national parks and monuments. Regionally, the biggest impact creates Tule Lake as its own stand-alone national monument.
