Trump unveils plan to end protections for large swathes on Tongass NF

The Trump administration is teeing up plans to reverse a long-standing limit on logging in Alaska’s Tongass National Forest.

The new draft environmental impact statement announced by the U.S. Forest Service on Tuesday opens the door to land use options that would significantly rollback protections currently in place in the country’s largest national forest.
