President Trump won't force a government shutdown when the new fiscal year begins next week, but EPA, the Interior Department and a host of other agencies aren't likely to have funding finalized until December.
Trump told reporters after a meeting with international leaders in New York yesterday, "We're going to keep the government open." He has for weeks toyed with a possible shutdown because Congress has yet to fully fund his plans for a U.S.-Mexico border wall.
