Study: For some WH sites, climate change could destroy values on which they depend

Some of the world's most precious places are facing "unprecedented challenges from climate change" and could lose their World Heritage status, a research paper has found.

The CSIRO-led paper examined the impacts of climate change on World Heritage sites and looked how these sites, and their place on the list, could be conserved.
