Over objections of local village, conservancy buys former golf course to add to Cuyahoga Valley NP

Writer: Dave Harmon, PW editorDave Harmon, PW editor

The Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park has purchased the former Brandywine Country Club golf course, with the National Park Service planning to purchase most of the property from the conservancy.

The purchase, announced Monday, comes after the village of Peninsula and the Woodridge Local School District Board of Education opposed the plan, with the village wanting the property to remain privately owned and developed.
