Locals push plan for NP in islands in Lake Michigan’s Green Bay

Writer: Dave Harmon, PW editorDave Harmon, PW editor

STURGEON BAY - A national park plan, which includes five islands in northern Door County, could bring 30 full-time jobs and about $20 million in spending to the region.

The plan would use public land at the northern tip of the peninsula to link additional public lands on Plum, Pilot, Detroit, Washington and Rock islands into a new national park which includes several islands along the coast of Michigan.
