Iowa Tribe to create second "tribal" NP overlooking Missouri River

LINCOLN — On a forested bluff that overlooks the Missouri River and a historic site of the Ioway people, a small Indian tribe is creating the nation’s largest tribal national park.


The Nature Conservancy of Nebraska recently transferred 284 acres of unique bluff property to the Iowa Tribe of Kansas and Nebraska.
