Illinois lawmakers press Biden to declare site of 1908 Springfield race riots a NMon

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WICS/WRSP) — More lawmakers from Illinois are asking for the 1908 Springfield Race Riot site to be declared a national monument.

Senators Tammy Duckworth, D-Illinois, and Dick Durbin, D-Illinois, are now calling on the incoming Biden administration to push the site to national monument status.
