The chief operating officer for The Everglades Foundation has been nominated to become the Assistant Secretary for Fish and Wildlife and Parks under Interior Secretary Deb Haaland.
Before working for the Foundation, Shannon Estenoz served as Interior’s director of Everglades Restoration Initiatives and executive director of the South Florida Ecosystem Restoration Task Force.
