Australia | Land-based oil spill reaches MPA in Victoria

A black oil spill contaminating waterways in Melbourne's west has seeped into a protected marine sanctuary in Port Phillip Bay that is home to coral, sharks, rays and octopus.

Construction materials giant Boral is the potential source of the massive spill that has contaminated a creek known as the Paisley Challis Drain in Williamstown, the Environment Protection Authority revealed on Friday.
