ALEXANDRIA, Va. — A Confederate statue was taken down in Alexandria, Va. early Tuesday morning, an official said.
The statue, known as “Appomattox,” depicts a Civil War soldier was at the corner of Prince and Washington streets in the middle of Old Town Alexandria.
