Our meeting venue

ParkForum 2025 will be held in the third-floor conference space at the University Center on the University of Montana campus. The UC also offers in-house conveniences such as a copy/shipping center, game room, gift shop, food court, and made to order coffee.

Parking near the University Center. We have reserved a limited number of parking passes for space in the parking garage nearest the UC. The cost is $35 for the duration of the workshop. Sign up on the workshop Registration Form.

Dining on and near campus. Check out these guides to on-campus, near-campus (vegan/veg emphasis), and city-wide dining.

Getting to Missoula

By air. Missoula Montana Airport (MSO) has several dozen flights a day with connections through Dallas, Seattle, Chicago, Salt Lake City, Denver, and more. Alaska, Allegiant, American, Delta, Frontier, Sun Country, and United are the airlines.

The airport is 8 miles from the University of Montana campus. All the usual ground transportation options are available from MSO, including the free Mountain Line bus system (see below).

By train/bus. The nearest Amtrak station is at Whitefish, Montana, near Glacier National Park on Amtrak's Empire Builder Line. Whitefish is about 110 miles from Missoula. Greyhound and Trailways offer bus service from Whitefish to Missoula (approximately 3.5 hours one-way).

By car. Missoula is on I-90, the northernmost transcontinental interstate highway.

Getting around Missoula

By zero-fare bus. Mountain Line is a free city-wide bus system (system map). Riding is made available for free as part of Missoula’s commitment to sustainability. Highly recommended.

On foot. Missoula is quite walkable, with trails near the Clarks Fork riverfront/downtown/campus and plenty of hiking trails in town. You can walk from the hotels listed below to campus.

By bike. Likewise for bikeability.  There are shared bike/walking paths, off-street protected bike lanes, and bike lanes on streets. More info and bike map
