Quarantined bison transferred from Yellowstone NP to tribe doing well; more transfers planned

GARDINER — Bison managers are thrilled with the movement of five bison to the Fort Peck Indian Reservation, and they hope it’s a sign of things to come.

The five bulls arrived at the reservation in February for the final stage of brucellosis quarantine, known as assurance testing. One round of testing was conducted this week, with the help of Yellowstone National Park staff.
