Canada | Land trust acquires, creates PA on last large tract of undeveloped Nova Scotia coastline

MABOU, N.S. — Vast kilometres of Cape Breton coastline are now considered protected areas after they were gifted to the Nova Scotia Nature Trust.

The new protected area is referred to as the Mabou Highlands Conservation Lands and considered the largest coastal conservation win in the Nature Trust’s 25-year history and encompasses an area of coastline between Mabou and Inverness.
